Kevin Coyle, defensive coordinator for the Miami Dolphins, was totally jazzed on Tuesday to discover that Tom Brady, the NFL’s third highest rated passer in 2011, was still available to be selected midway through the second round of Coyle’s fantasy draft.
“Can you believe Brady was still sitting there at that point in the second?” Coyle asked, smiling. ”That guy’s an absolute stud. No defense ever shuts him down. I’m telling you, TB is gonna DOMINATE this season.”
Coyle was later thrilled to draft Jets RB Shonn Greene in the third, and Bills WR Stevie Johnson in the fifth.
“Just look at this lineup,” the excited defensive specialist said, pointing to a handwritten list of players he’d drafted. ”My team is absolutely loaded. Man, I can’t wait for the season to start!”
