Jay Cutler Can’t Decide Between Matt Ryan, Jay Cutler In Fantasy Draft

Chicago Bears starting QB Jay Cutler reportedly had difficulty Thursday evening making a choice on whether to select the Falcons’ Matt Ryan, or the Bears’ Jay Cutler in round ten of his online fantasy draft.

Cutler: “The guy I really wanted was RGIII, but someone snagged him ONE pick before me. Damn my luck!”

“The thing about Ryan is that he’s got a huge ceiling, you know?” Cutler said.  “He’s a former number one pick in the draft, he’s got two pro bowl caliber receivers in Julio Jones and Roddy White, not to mention the fact that he has Tony Gonzalez there too.  I just don’t know if Jay Cutler’s going to be able to match his stats.”

As the 1:30 clock ticked down to zero, Cutler continued to waver on his selection.  “Man, I just don’t know.  Cutler, Ryan, Cutler, Ryan.  One thing to consider is that Cutler has Brandon Marshall to throw to now, which is good.  But Cutler also gets hurt a lot too.  Plus he’s so inconsistent week-to-week.”

With just eight seconds remaining, Cutler shrugged his shoulders, and made his choice. “Screw it, I’ll take Cutler. It’s no big deal. I grabbed Aaron Rodgers in the first round, so Cutler’s really just a bye-week fill in for me anyway.”
